Also features a 15.6 Volt battery for better suction for your quick cleaning jobs around the home or car. Bagless design with easy to empty dirt cup. Other thoughtful features include the easy grip handle, easy on/off switch, and the flip-down crevice tool for the tight spaces you want to clean up.
Dirt Devil BD10045RED AccuCharge Hand Vacuum PROS AND CONS
PROS
- ENERGY STAR qualified (always a plus)
- Relatively fast recharge (about 6 hours)
- Smart charger: full charge indicator (light goes out) and then the battery is continuously monitored afterwards for charge – nice design
- Long charge also (one reviewer notes over 30 minutes of use without recharging, might be on the optimistic side, but definitely over 15 minutes)
- Good suction for a hand vacuum
- Opening the device to empty out the dirt is easy. Most of the dirt just drops out into the garbage.
CONS
- Many of the user complaints are about the wallmount system and getting the vacuum in and out of it
- Not as good with pet hair as the Eureka 71B if that is on your list
- A bit on the louder side
- Mouth is a bit on the smaller side compared to other hand vacs
Overall the Dirt Devil BD10045RED AccuCharge Hand Vacuum is not a bad vacuum at all. It’s fairly cheap, definitely not as light as other cordless vacs. It’s also heaver than other cordless vacs, but the tradeoff is better suction. The battery life, ENERGY STAR rating, and suction power are definitely the big plusses here. We recommend you put it on your recommended list!
