Black And Decker PHV1810 Cordless Pivoting Hand Vacuum Product Description

The Black And Decker PHV1810 Hand Vacuum is a solidly designed cordless hand vacum. Features a powerful 18 volt high performance motor for strong suction with cyclonic action. Black And Decker PHV1810 Cordless Pivoting Hand VacuumAlso features a on-board brush and extendable crevice tool built into the vacuum so there are no loose accessories.

The Black and Decker PHV1810 incorporates the same popular features as its predecessor including 18 volts of power with cyclonic suction action, a patented 10-position pivoting nozzle, and three-stage filtration. The difference? The newer model is even, smaller, quieter, and easier-to-clean design.

Another key feature is the removable, washable, translucent, bagless dirt bowl – which makes for easy, hygienic cleanup as well as holding 40% more dirt & debris than the original.

Black And Decker PHV1810 Hand Vacuum PROS AND CONS

PROS

  • Pivot feature is very convenient and many owners’ favorite feature.
  • Good size for a hand vac – small for portability but large enough to feel sturdy
  • Relatively quiet compared to other hand vacuums (not to say it is quiet – hand vacuums are loud)
  • Great suction and power
  • Easy to clean and maintain

CONS

  • Be careful when unfolding the front nozzle as the contents may spill out.
  • Charging the vacuum  takes longer than other hand vacuums (24 hours)
  • Non-replacable battery
  • No charging cradle

We do like the Black And Decker PHV1810 Hand Vacuum.  The lack of a charging cradle can be a plus or a minus.  One thing we don’t like is it takes 24 hours to charge the vacuum for a typical 20 minute battery life.  If that does not phase you,  then this is a vacuum to consider.  It is a very powerful AND quiet vacuum when compared to other hand vacuums.

What Buyers Are Saying

“This little hand-held vac is what I always imagined the others would be — a quick, easy way to vacuum up stuff. This is the only hand-held I’ve bought that actually works! It’s easy to recharge, easy to maneuver (that pivoting head helps get in any tight places), and easy to empty. Worth every penny…(READ MORE)”

“It’s pretty heavy for a handheld vacum.  Also it’s surprisingly loud.  I will say that it sucks stuff up well though.  Wish they made some sort of wall mount bracket for it.  Would probably look more closely at other models before buying again. … (READ MORE)”

“The reason I bought this was to use on my wood floors and stairs for pet hair. I hated lugging the vacuum or shop vac up and down the stairs, so I decided to get a cordless, handheld vacuum. After doing much research, I decided to go with this one.. and I am VERY happy with my purchase. It works great! It is also easy to empty the contents and the pivoting handle makes it easy to get hard-to-reach places. It is amazing with dog hair. I have a short-haired and long-haired dog and it picks up both quickly and efficiently… (READ MORE)”
